1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Taskbuck, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

2. Description of Service

Taskbuck is a family task management and financial education application that allows parents to assign tasks to children, track completion, and reward them with a balance they can save or cash out.

Taskbuck is intended for use by parents and guardians aged 18 or over who create and manage family accounts on behalf of their children.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. If you enable biometric login (Face ID or fingerprint), any biometric enrolled on your device will be able to log in to your account. Enable this feature only on personal devices.

3.3 Parent/Guardian Responsibility

Parents have full control over child accounts and are responsible for monitoring their children's use.

3.4 Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to create a parent or guardian account. Child profiles are created by parents on behalf of their children and do not require the child to register directly.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Collect personal data about other users
  • Use the service to harass or harm others

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Taskbuck offers optional premium subscriptions on the following terms:

  • Subscriptions are available on a monthly or annual basis at the prices displayed at the time of purchase.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account upon confirmation of purchase.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings.
  • No refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period. Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their respective refund policies.
  • Free trial periods, if offered, convert automatically to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial period ends.

6. User-Generated Content

Children may upload photos to verify task completion. You retain ownership of any content you upload. By uploading content, you grant Taskbuck a limited licence to store and display that content solely to family members within your account. We do not use uploaded photos for any other purpose. You can delete uploaded content by deleting the associated task or your account.

7. Intellectual Property

The Taskbuck service is owned by Taskbuck and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Taskbuck is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

9. Limitation of Liability

Taskbuck shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time. You may also terminate your account by contacting us or using the delete account option in the app settings.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
