Task verification photos uploaded by children to confirm task completion, stored on our secure servers

XP and level progression

Subscription status and purchase history

4. Data Storage and Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Your password is encrypted using industry-standard hashing algorithms. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS and WSS connections.

Your data is stored on secure servers. Task verification photos are stored in a private cloud storage bucket (AWS S3) and are not publicly accessible. If you enable biometric login, your credentials are encrypted and stored locally on your device only — they are never transmitted to our servers.

5. Children's Privacy

Taskbuck is designed for families with children. Children do not self-register — parents or guardians create child profiles on behalf of their children. Child profiles may include the child's name, date of birth, selected avatar, and task activity. Children may also upload photos to verify task completion; these photos are stored securely and are only visible to family members. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Parents have full control over their children's data and can delete child profiles or their entire account at any time through the app settings.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

With your explicit consent
To comply with legal obligations
To protect our rights and prevent fraud
With RevenueCat (revenuecat.com) — our subscription management provider, who receives subscription status and purchase history to process in-app purchases. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy
With Expo (expo.dev) — our push notification delivery service, who receives push notification tokens to deliver notifications to your device. Expo's privacy policy is available at expo.dev/privacy
With AWS (amazonaws.com) — our cloud storage provider, who stores task verification photos in a private storage bucket
With our transactional email service, which processes your email address solely to deliver account-related emails such as welcome messages, password resets, and family invitations
With other service providers who assist in operating our application, under strict confidentiality agreements

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Request deletion of your account and associated data

Object to processing of your data

To exercise these rights, use the delete account option in the app settings, or contact privacy@taskbuck.com. We will respond to all requests within 30 days.

8. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and ensure proper functionality of the application. We do not use third-party tracking cookies for advertising purposes. We do not use any analytics or crash reporting tools that collect personal data.

9. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations. When you delete your account, your personal data is permanently deleted. If you are the sole parent in your family, all children's profiles and family data are deleted at the same time. Internal system logs (such as audit logs) may be retained for up to 90 days for security purposes.
